Foster Village

Overview

Foster Village is an Austin-based nonprofit supporting foster families through community connection and practical resources.

As part of Project Advance Austin, a yearlong project management program at UT Austin that partners student teams with local nonprofits. My team was tasked with a time-sensitive challenge during my senior year of college: promoting Foster Village's first benefit concert with limited runway to attract sponsors and gain community participation.

Serving as the creative marketing lead, I was responsible for translating that urgency into tangible deliverables while also contributing to the team's larger goal of building something sustainable for Foster Village beyond our project's end.

My Strategy

Produced branded promotional materials: posters, a sponsorship packet, and a t-shirt, under a tight deadline and budget to support the concert launch

Supported community outreach efforts by equipping the team with quality materials to share with potential sponsors

Developed a shareable internship program presentation to help Foster Village recruit UT Austin students independently after our project ended

Applied project management frameworks throughout, contributing to team planning and execution
